Eddie Fargason is currently Associate of Instrumental Music for First Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas. Eddie is a composer and arranger who has been on staff for over 30 years, directed the Sanctuary Orchestra for 26 years, High School Orchestra for 15 years, and oversees all the instrumental areas of the church, including handbells. Eddie has directed these groups on numerous mission trips all over the world, including Canada, Israel, Australia, Zambia, and Kenya.
In past years, Eddie has served as guest clinician in Texas and Oklahoma, directing orchestras and leading conferences. He has arranged for numerous choirs, orchestras, and soloists across the country. He has also arranged and produced numerous recordings for various artists, including numerous recordings by the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, the Chapel Choir and Orchestra, and four by the Sanctuary Orchestra.
Over 100 of his compositions and arrangements have been published by several major music publishers in the United States as well as by international publishers. In addition to choral works, Mr. Fargason has written and arranged music for the orchestra.
Eddie Fargason is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, with a BA, and a MM in Music Theory and Composition. He is married to Terri and has two sons, Jason and Kevin.
