Jaeyoun was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1983. She began studying piano at age 7. After graduating high school in 2001, she entered the Seoul Artspool Conservatory in Seoul, South Korea as a Piano Performance major. She switched to Jazz Studies her sophomore year. In 2004, Jaeyoun moved to the United States to further study jazz. She began her studies at Richland College, where she received a scholarship for musical excellence. Now, thanks to a piano scholarship and the New Life Symphony Scholarship, Jaeyoun is a Piano Performance major at Dallas Baptist University.
